I've been there. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason this business exists. When I relocated, I experienced first-hand how disorienting the Dutch housing market can be: the speed, the jargon, the bidding wars, the things nobody tells you until it's too late. I decided to build the service I wished had existed.

Expat Housing Center is created by an expat, for expats. And everything I do is shaped by that experience.

My background isn't typical for a real estate agent. That's the point.

Most buying agents know the market. I know the market and the building. My background is in construction, and my husband works as a contractor. When I walk through a property with you, I'm not just looking at the aesthetics — I'm reading the structure, estimating the work, calculating the cost. I'll tell you what the energy label really means for your monthly bills, what a renovation will realistically run, and whether the asking price reflects the true condition of the home.

That combination — market knowledge plus technical expertise — is rare. For my clients, it's often the difference between a good decision and an expensive one.

Most of my clients are senior engineers, researchers, and international executives — people who are used to making complex decisions with full information. They don't want vague reassurance. They want data, structure, and clarity.

So that's what I give them. Before we ever start searching, I sit down with you for a strategic advisory session. We cover everything: the neighbourhood, the market, the ROI, the energy performance, the technical condition of homes in your budget, and a realistic cost breakdown of what improvements would mean for value and livability.

You leave that session knowing exactly what you're getting into — financially and practically. Most of my clients say it's the most useful conversation they have during their entire relocation.

The full picture of what I do

I work exclusively for you — from first search to settled in.

I don't have listings. I don't represent sellers. I represent you — and only you — throughout the entire buying or renting process. That means my incentives are completely aligned with yours.

- Finding the right home

I search on and off market, and regularly access properties before they appear on Funda through my network of agents and sellers.

- Technical assessment

I assess structural condition, energy performance, and renovation potential — and give you a realistic picture of what a property will truly cost to own.

- Negotiation & legal

I negotiate on your behalf and handle the legal side of the purchase. Fully certified — no separate lawyer needed.

- Rental support

Already in a rental? I help with lease termination, protect your rights under Dutch law, and support you in recovering your security deposit.

Note: Relocation support is offered as part of the buying or rental service — not as a standalone. This is worth mentioning clearly on the page to set expectations.
